Summer Picnic

Friday 17July 2010 – Hyde Park, London
OMEC YES organised a fun get together at Hyde Park for members, family and friends. The weather was perfect for a picnic, warm with cool breeze. Everyone brought their own food which were shared with everyone. There was a variety to choose from, Malaysian delicacies, pizzas, jellies and sweets for the kids and fruits and salads for the health conscious.

Fun games such as tug of war, Mummy wrap and guessing games kept the crowd entertained and the children occupied.

MALAYSIA AIRLINES BRINGS TERENGGANU FLAVOURS ONBOARD

Malaysia Airlines has teamed up with the publishers of the book Kulit Manis: A Taste of Terengganu’s Heritage to bring authentic Terengganu culinary flavours to its passengers.

While detailing the culture and heritage of Terengganu, Kulit Manis also has a compilation of authentic Terengganu recipes. Its publisher, To’ Puan Rosita bt Abdullah together with her son Tengku Zainal Abidin bin Tengku Ibrahim, a contributing writer and editor to Kulit Manis, were present at the launch today.

The Talk was GREAT, the Food was Delicious

Ardi Kolah from Guru in a Bottle enlightened the audience on PR', the good, the bad and how to unlock its power. The talk was on 'Unleashing the Power of PR'. The audience were OMEC Members, guests as well as other Gurus.

Refreshments and Malaysian speciality, the scrumptious Mee Mamak (Malaysian fried Noodles) added spice to the evening.

OMEC YES Bazaar was a HUGE Success.

Sunday 21st March 2010, Stowe Centre, London

It was a great event, the hall was packed with people and everyone enjoyed themselves. The Malaysian food was a big hit and most of the stalls actually sold out. Both the customers and stallholders were very pleased with the event and we have had many requests to hold it again.
Acting High Commissioner Dato' Rustam and Datin Dr Musrifah launched the YES Bazaar at 2pm. There was even a karaoke competition with no less than three winners!
Radziah, Chairman of OMEC said 'I believe this is a great way to promote our small business members, by giving them a platform to showcase their products and services. This is really what OMEC is all about. OMEC YES is playing a significant role in our future, together we can really step up our efforts in generating business opportunities for all our members. Well done OMEC YES!. We also like to thank Fash for their contribution in making this a huge success'

The OMEC Annual Dinner and Dance was held at the Ballroom of the Grosvenor Victoria Hotel London. The guests were treated to a scrumptious dinner and entertained by Diamond, a popular live band. Two flight tickets were amongst the attractive prizes for raffle Draws.

The occasion was graced by the presence of the Deputy High Commissioner Dato’ Rustam and Datin Dr Musrifah.
